Quality1Direct started in 2010 and has done essentially the same thing since: getting Southeast Michigan service businesses found by the people nearby who are looking for them.
That has meant different tactics over the years. It has not meant a different problem.
What this business is
An internet marketing service based in Ann Arbor, working across Washtenaw County and into Metro Detroit. The primary work is Google Business Profile and map pack visibility, with local SEO, content, websites, advertising and lead systems around it as businesses need them.
It is small deliberately. The person who audits your market is the person who does the work, which limits how many clients we take. That is a real constraint rather than a positioning statement, and it is worth knowing before you call.
Why there is no address on this site
Quality1Direct is a service-area business. We travel to clients rather than running an office customers visit, and Google’s guidance for service-area businesses directs them to hide their address from customers.
So the site publishes the city, the postcode, the phone number and the email, and no street line. That decision is applied consistently across the site, the Business Profile and the listings — which is exactly the consistency we spend client engagements creating.
It would be strange to advise it and then not do it.
How we work
Measure first. Every engagement starts with a geo-grid scan showing where a business actually ranks across its service area, before anything is proposed and before anyone commits. Most owners have only ever searched from their own desk, which shows them the best result they have.
Fix the cheap things first. Categories, services, service areas, conflicting listings, and anything on the site blocking indexing. These produce the fastest movement and cost the least, and skipping them to sell something larger is the most common thing wrong with this industry.
Then build the slow things. Reviews, local links, content. This is the half that takes months and the half competitors abandon.
Report honestly. A monthly scan you can use to hold us to account, whether it looks good or not. If three consecutive months show nothing, we change the approach and say why.
What we will not do
We will not promise rankings, lead volume or revenue. We will not buy links, buy reviews, incentivise reviews, put keywords in a business name, or use addresses a client does not operate from. We will not lock clients into long contracts, and we will not take ownership of accounts that should be yours.
All of that is written out in more detail on our page about credentials, guarantees and what we will not promise, including the claims we have deliberately left unproven rather than estimated.
Who we are a poor fit for
Businesses that are already at capacity. Businesses whose customers are not local. Businesses that need results this month rather than this year — that is advertising, not this. And businesses that want a provider who will agree with them, since a fair amount of the value here is disagreement.
We wrote a whole page on when local SEO is not worth paying for, which is unusual for an agency site and is genuinely meant.
About this website
This site was rebuilt in 2026. The previous version was a client-rendered application that delivered about 1.6KB of HTML, assembled everything in the browser, and had no sitemap. It looked perfectly reasonable and it was a poor advertisement for a company selling search visibility.
The current site is statically generated, mirrors the Google Business Profile category and service structure, and every page it publishes is a page we would build for a client. The photographs are stock, which is the weakest thing about it, and replacing them with real work is on the list.
If you want to see the reasoning rather than the result, the pages on what a website costs and whether to repair or replace one are the same advice we followed here.
